The Vision
Our vision for The Venture is to create a community of girls that encourages personal growth, seeking truth, and going deeper with Jesus. It is our desire that this week will enrich your life through worship, Bible reading, and relationships.
The Venture was birthed out of a deep desire for young women to know who they are and who their Father is. For young women to embrace the femininity that God created them for and embrace the warrior heart that God put inside of them. We desire for you to experience worship in a real sense that will change the way you live life.
I (Bonita) always wondered why there wasn’t a HIKE program for girls. I realized how much I could have benefited from something like that in my teen years, and at the same time realizing there are girls today who can benefit from something like that. One day I was talking with Cheyenne about this very thing and well, she was on the same page as me. We put our brains together and got Monica on board with brainstorming. After talking with different people and getting the support we needed to get it up and going, we set out on the adventure to start something new. We realized we have a deep desire for girls to live in the calling God has created them for.
And so, The Venture was birthed.
In some ways, The Venture and HIKE are alike — being outdoors, encouraging personal growth and leadership, working to better ourselves — and in other ways completely different. The biggest difference being one is geared towards boys and the other for girls. Knowing that boys and girls are created equal but differently and God has called us each to greatness.
If you are a young woman who happens to be 13-15 years old, who desires more of God, and loves a challenge, we would love to have you join us on The Venture.
We believe God has a bigger purpose than we can see, and we long for young women to embrace their God-given potential. We believe God created women to be both feminine and strong–to be fearless in the face of lies, peer pressure, and to stand out and make a difference.
